Hi,
I'd like to share with you the work I've been doing using the Lilypond engraving system. This is a set of selected sheet music pieces for bayan of varying difficulty for the Stradella bass and the free bass.
I hope the resource would be useful and valuable for those interested in bayan and...
Hello dear accordion community,
today I have a small request.
Does anybody has the sheet music for this song? Små grodorna
I think is adorable and I would like to add it to my repertoire since is a sweet folk music.
Thanks a log for your attention.
Jaime, the little frog.
Hello everybody.
today, I will like to ask your opinion about an interesting topic.
Which Russian songs do you think are a must to know for every accordionists?
So far, I have Kalinka (malinka) and Katyusha into my repertoire, and I wondered if there were more folk (non gypsy) songs out...
The European folk / dance traditions were what attracted me to the box in general and to smaller boxes in particular. Cyrille is a wonderful balfolk player and composer and I captured this take of my own improvised version of his tune last night. Apologies for the sour accordion face. Am also...
Andy is such an amazing musician. I've only seen informal clips of him playing this tune posted by others (and no one is credited as the writer so I assume it is one of his originals). He plays it on a biggish 2.5 row diatonic, which is still easily 6-7 lbs lighter than my CBA. I knew the...
I got a bit obsessed with this album (Andrew Bird - My Finest Work Yet) after hearing it last year -- I've worked up several of the songs, but hadn't recorded any until last night.
I've been focusing a lot on my bellows work particularly on quieter solo tunes. Here is one I recorded the other night (instead of working on my taxes).
This composition is usually played on a Diatonic, but I also like some of the possibilities the CBA gives you.
I seem to be able to find a lot of happy songs in major. I was wondering if anyone could give me a few names of hopefully some traditional Russian or Belarusian songs in a "sadder" key?
Thanks!
