I went through a similar decision when I transitioned to a 37-note keyboard. In the process I originally tried the G-to-G configuration but ultimately settled on F-to-F.
Given that 41 keys (F to A) is the most common standard, choosing any keyboard with fewer keys requires making a compromise. Ultimately it depends on your personal taste and the music you play. In my case, I missed losing that low F more than losing the high G. But I was only sacrificing 4 notes, you are giving up 7, which is a more difficult trade off to make.
I would not want to live with only 34 keys, but if I did I would probably still want to keep the low F.
