Hi all,
I’ve just signed up for what looks to be an amazing summer school in a fabulous location. It’s run by two brilliant virtuoso players in Karen Tweed and Karen Street, both really experienced teachers as well, I think it’s going to be a great four days. The blurb talks about developing keyboard, bellows and listening skills, and bass button harmonies, all of which I could really use some help on!
An extra plus is that it’s part of the St Magnus Festival https://stmagnusfestival.com/ founded years ago by Peter Maxwell Davies, with loads of great events on. Also, it's on Orkney, a group of islands off the north coast of Scotland if you're not familiar with the place, amazing landscapes culture and history.
Anyway, I gather there are a small number of places still available, so wanted to share this with the forum. Brochure is attached with more info. Can’t wait.
