ACCORDION DREAMS: A Journey into Cajun and Creole Music (University Press of Mississippi, 2009) by Blair Kilpatrick, 250 pages. Ms. Kilpatrick heard the Cajun accordion on a trip to Louisiana and it was all over. She was so taken by the sound and the culture that she began to have dreams of playing the accordion (Cajun one row button accordion in this case). She eventually obtained a Hoher and then a hand made Cajun accordion and learned to play and sing. This book is a labor of love detailing one woman's growth as a Cajun musician. A beautiful book and inspiring. Tom
Thank's for the tip about the Blair Kilpatrick book !
The pdf list is just a small selection off course.
I suppose there are also some interesting student theses on the net, like:
Yin Yee Kwan: An Untold Story: The Accordion in Twentieth-Century China. A thesis for Master of Arts in Music. University of Hawaii, 2004
