I am curious to know if anyone here could chime in as to the status of repair technicians currently active in the U.S. I am located in the Midwest (Indiana specifically) but am willing to travel for instrument servicing as my primary and only concern is dealing with a technician(s) capable of the highest quality of work ranging from general tuning and servicing to more complete restoration and overhaul on professional level instruments. It has been some time since I've required considerable work done on a couple of older vintage instruments (one recently acquired) and I'm a bit "out of the loop" as to who is still currently servicing instruments at a notably high level and can be trusted and recommended without reservation. Any and all recommendations and suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

My brother lives near Chicago and has used Romagnoli Accordion (formerly Italo-American Accordion) in Oak Lawn, and he is pleased with the restoration work they did on my grandfather’s accordion (which he inherited).

This person is in Burlington Ontario, however he's top notch and has serviced some really nice instruments. Keith Anderson of Anderson's Accordion used to do a lot of work for Castiglione Accordion in Detroit and the late John Castiglione told me so himself. Castiglione was one of the largest accordion dealers in the United States. It may be a little further away, but I'm told that he's really good.
