For those who want to test themselves trying to figure out if a photo is real or made with AI. It is in Italian but is very simple. Starting at about minute 1.50, two pairs of photos are presented and you have to guess whether they are real or made with AI. They can be both AI, both real, or a mixture. After a few seconds, a symbol appears on the photos that tell us whether they are real or AI. For me, it is not as easy as it looks.

Sì, impossibile.

A.I. pics found a place in thumbnails and surprising photos. They are colorful and interesting, perfect for catching audience in a platform (YouTube Facebook etc.)

Really difficult indeed. I identified some but not more than fifty-fifty...
With AI "photos" of accordions it's a lot easier: I can identify 100% of the fake ones because at present AI has no clue what an accordion really looks like.
for now, accordion photos created by AI are often ridiculous :ROFLMAO:

Allora, senza lavorando troppo forte, vediamo dove siamo.

Without working too hard, let’s see where we are. Which of these two are “real”?

Remember, I made this in 5 minutes, using free AI software, no hard work or post processing. Just to show progress since my last AI post. It won’t be long till you can’t guess. A matter of months, not years.

That accordion challenge is too easy. The first is a nice old Titano. The second is actually a pretty good attempt at an AI accordion, but the irregular shape of the ends of the keys, the strange registers, dangling strap that doesn't match the style of the shoulder strap... close but no cigar.

Yup! But you did have to look at details this time. Won’t be long (for good or bad)….

My son makes his living producing video presentations for clients advertising products ..
He's sent a script and just reads it out enthusiastically and with character...has done very well up to now...
He's very worried his work is about to end....

The funky fingers were the giveaway for me. But if this were used somewhere where it didn't get too much scrutiny, like in a collage of other photos on a festival poster or something, I wouldn't have questioned it at all.

It's definitely going to change, I'd say. But maybe not end. Recorded music didn't put live musicians completely out of work, nor did synthesizers and drum machines put every string player and drummer out on the street. The photograph didn't replace every portrait painter. There seem to always be at least some people who still want or need the real thing.

He probably will have to adapt and add value in some way that separates him from the pack. That's nothing new though. All businesses operate in an ever-changing economic, regulatory, and technological environment. The trick is figuring out how to be the Netflix and not the Blockbuster. :)

Here’s our Brazilian sanfoneiro. Don’t worry, he’s as “real” as a Roland.
