Hey guys and girls, Im going to be honest... Ive never played an accordion and i dont think i ever could as it looks really complicated, so hats off to anyone who can :)

However the reason for this post is that i have come into ownership of a accordion which i think is a bell 48 bass piano accordion. I personally will never use it and i would rather sell it onto somebody who could make some use of it, i will attach some pictures so you can see it and i was hoping i could get some help on what it is worth. As far as im aware it works perfectly fine and it has no damage whatsoever to it as it has been stored in a case.

so thanks to any replys in advance :)

Ok it wouldnt let me upload a picture but i have found a picture online of the exact same accordion, link shall follow. (I know the website says accordion shop but i have looked on there and cant find this accordion)

It should let you upload, but your pic is probably too big. Resize it in your editor and it will let you upload it. The one in the link is a Galotta, and that should help you research a value in the usual places.
If there is a tag on the back saying 'Bell, Surbiton' - that's the dealership who retailed it in about the 1960s, not the make.

Your accordion might have a badge that says BELL but just as Ed has advised its a Galotta just like this one -- http://www.mccubbingandredfern.co.uk/21Accordionx.gif -- Galotta accordions are of German manufacture and all models of Bell accordions where imported from Italy by the late Aldo Mencaccini who owned the Bell brand name.

Yes I've seen that Bell badge before. In the UK where there was a big accordion dealer called Bell based in Surbiton, who had their own accordion assembly mainly from imported parts. This maybe this is their badge, but it is for sure a Galotta. The other bell badge was a tag at the back seen on many accordions from the 50s - maybe this one is later.

I would say that this is German though i have worked on an Italian made Bell 48 bass that was made in the 80's.
