I wanted to change a few of the bass buttons on my Roland FR-1Xb to give me some touch guide when doing Free Base. I pried off one smooth, white button, and then tried to replace it with a textured, white button. The replacement button doesn't go in as far as the original button did, which means that it sticks up higher than the other buttons. I tried removing the new, textured button and putting back the smooth one, and the smooth one went into the same height as the other buttons. Is there some trick to this that I don't know?
