Chromatic player teaching piano accordion

Is it a problem to study with a teacher who only knows chromatic accordion and has never played the piano side,nor knows how to play an upright piano?

Depends more on whether he/she is s good teacher. A good chromatic playing teacher is better than a bad piano playing teacher. With the known scarcity of good teachers it's a realistic question.

There are dozens of books on fingering for the piano accordion keyboard. There is much more to playing the instrument than piano fingering.
