I have noticed two players one extremely accomplished professional wearing a black compression tube on their arm. Is this because of tendonitis?

Not sure of your precise example, but it may simply be a sleeve to prevent sticking of the forearm to the bass strap during play, a problem experienced by several members here including myself.?
Some of us have independently come up with similar solutions ?
There are various past threads discussing this issue which include contributions by different members.?

Good point I never thought of that. Is that also why some left straps have a plastic sleeve?

Again, I'm unsure of your example, but the bass straps of many new accordions (pre-sale) are enclosed in plastic covers to keep them pristine.?

Well, his left arm isn't visible in the clip.
As far as his right arm is concerned, as Walker says, it may be a fashion statement!?

This is one of those accordion players sleeves that is intended for the left arm. He is wearing it on the right arm for fun. It is Scandalli branded. He does not have one on the left hand. He is doing it for fun and to accentuate the Total Blackness of the accordion. Renzo Ruggieri is a dude that does not need to follow conventions. Dingo40 maybe you show bring the trend to Australia :)

I have been following all (well a lot!) of his videos and I know what you mean about why he is using the sleeve! Quite a showman but his videos of quiet thoughtful pieces are great.

He's just uber cool, that's all.

Hey Beemer - did you get the Total Black version Air VI too!
I had thought about the all black as there was one available. The extra cost of the VI was too much, so I'm waiting the two months for the Air III 37/120 musette in white/black.

Cool! Love the accordion sound and his language. Questa fisarmonica è "al top!" "Total black!"
