I have an old accordion that I'm fixing up.
When opened up the bellows area I found about 8-9 reeds that had fallen out of place and were piled up together...most came from the bass/left hand side.
I carefully looked at the wax and determined which pieces went where...I had to guess on a couple but I think I have all back in place correctly.
I had to take some candle wax and I used a soldering iron to keep the reeds in place. ( I ordered some proper beeswax and the tool to properly do the job or resealing the reeds )

The issue that I'm having and need help with is that there is a constant note sounding when I both open and close the bellows.
If I remember correctly it is the middle C#
I can play the accordion but there is a constant note sounding that shouldn't be there :(
What should I look for a possible causes?

It is likely that either the pallet does not close properly because it is bent slightly out of position or the pallet has fallen out. Remove the grille and the problem should be obvious.

...thank you so much!...it actually didn't look that bad to the eye but I knew which note was not seating properly so it was an easy fix. I pushed the pad completely flat to confirm the offending pad then took my soldering iron and waxed it into position....
Took less than 10 minutes :)
