Hello everyone. I have inherited my father's accordion set up that he used in the 60's, but has been stored in a closet (in a house) for the past 50sh years. In all honesty, I don't know what I have and I thought this would be the best venue to find out. I'm not interested in keeping the equipment, I'm holding onto one of his other accordions for sentimental value, but I would like to find out it's value and if there's any demand for it. I've listed the only identification numbers for the accordion in the subject line, and I'm attaching pictures. Any info and help is appreciated! I live in Round Rock, Texas. you basically have the complete more or less original tube type model

the capacitors will be fully discharged by this time, so just
plugging it in would likely blow circuits.. to even have a chance
one has to turn it on for a minute, then off, like a hundred times
maybe a little longer each time after awhile until everything is
warmed up and stabilized.. the big huge cable should always be
plugged into the accordion before powering it on. The contacts
in that big plug are likely tarnished and may need some wiggling to
get everything to actually connect

you also have the actual original Leslie speaker which was made
specifically for this model, but can be used by anyone for anything
if they can make their connections and power it from an amp

this is the standard accordion, and can be played acoustically, but is
mainly a boat-anchor if the electronics don't work

the shipping on such an item is more than the value, so advertise it within
driving distance and see if you get any interest in it.. anyone who would
actually want it will know what's what, and can likely evaluate it

the electronics were made by the Lowrey Organ company

good luck

(ps: i don't want it.. LoL.. had one when i was a kid)

The power supply capacitors will most likely need to be replaced as they deteriorate over time. You might get lucky if you bring the voltage up slowly on them. As Ventura indicated, inrush current when first plugged in can blow circuits. Those things are also full of wax coated capacitors that can catch fire due to age. The tone unit on mine actually did catch fire and destroyed the unit. Mine was the next generation of these. Too heavy and too much trouble to keep in tune as the tube oscillators were always in need of adjusting.
