I have a Dallape accordion and looking to find out more about the value and perhaps resell it. I have the serial number and wondering where I can find more information. Serial number is 27653. Thank you, any information would be great!

Hi Laura and welcome!🙂
I'm sorry I can't answer your question myself but I'm giving it a bump.🙂
That's a nice looking instrument by a known "name" maker.
I notice you're not far from downtown Chicago where there are at least 5 or 6 accordion shops listed on Google search.
I suggest your best bet could be to do a tour of all of them and see what they have to say ?🤔🙂

Hi Laura:
Your Dallape accodion looks to be in nice condition.
I could be interested in a purchase .
Please keep me in mind if you decide to sell.
Thank you

This is Dallape Maestro from late 1940's. Most likely it is single tone chamber 4/5 set reeds. Unfortunately they don't have good value in between accordion players. They have good sound but mechanism is treble. And they are kind of bulky. They could attract more interest in someone who collects them. I could be interested if you ever decide to sell accordion?

hey laura

that looks to be in amazing condition from the outside,
it will certainly catch a lot of attention, but the current value
depends on the condition inside too. For top dollar it needs
opened up to see if the leathers are dried out, and to verify no
internal moisture damage (rust) on the reeds

even if this was a beat up old klunker, it would find a buyer
because Dallape Reeds from this era are highly desirable,
as the comparative quality level of expensive new reeds is barely
equivalent, so it has real value for the reeds alone, of which
there are @ 400 in your accordion

i hope you get to hear it played before you sell it
