Hi all, this maybe a silly question but will damaged I.e curled up Reed valves cause air loss of just bad sounding notes. I'm currently looking at restoring an old accordion just for fun and it has an air leak of which I've found damage to the bellows but was wondering if the Reed valves will contribute to this air loss or not too.
Many thanks

Reed valves do not contribute to the air loss as the pallets keep the accordion airtight when no note is played.
