People often ask for suggestions regarding which "accordion" to play.
This is far from a simple question!πŸ˜„
Aside from the huge variety of manufacturers, models and ages of particular accordions , there's also an enormous variety of types as well as great variety within types.
The task of "advising " is virtually impossible.
Here's a clip showing only a (small) sample of the generic types available:

You, really, may as well go with whatever type of accordion is more popular and more easily available in your locality!πŸ™‚

Thanks Dingo! Let’s see, what is popular and easily available in my locality? Beer, check. Fishing and hunting, check. Green Bay Packers, check. Farmers markets and tourist traps, check. Lake Michigan and pretty scenery, check. Working accordions of any style? Not so much. Beaters needing an airing out and major or minor repair, check. May as well go with a guitar. Leave the cordeens to the professionals.

Thanks, Tom: I've made some edits to try to clarify my meaning πŸ™‚
Still, if all you have is beaters...make beater lemonade?πŸ€«πŸ™‚

Thanks Dingo! Well, the best thing to do is make them playable and try to get them in the hands of someone who will play them. Doesn’t always work though. I was at a Christmas Eve party and my brother in law’s sister’s husband told me he will probably return the dumpster find that I fixed for him. I’m trying to remember if it was a button or piano.
