Posts have started here on the subject of the older accordion-organ models of the past. For our members that have a little holiday spare time - give this a total read --

Dale M. and I had discussion on this too. We came from the same era of the older Cordovox in Wisconsin. I remember driving to the Lowrey plant in Chicago to change out the power amp in the first transistorized model. It was one box with wheels (can not remember the model). The little transitorized tone generators would always need tuning and the power transistors would blow occasionally. Sound was great especially through a wooden Leslie with those rotating motors.

Many thanks for this very interesting read. I had no idea the scene of these earlier electronic accordions was so complex, with so many names involved. A great resource!

I had one of those - I believe it was a CG-4!
