Finnish C Griff Stradella wanted

Hi Craig, looks like a possibility, what can you tell me about this accordion? Is it yours? I'm assuming it's in decent condition, because of its make. What would you be asking in price?

It is in good condition. The keyboard has a very nice light action. Send me a direct message if you like, I can give you my phone number and we can discuss the accordion. It is pretty unique which for the right person is a good thing.

Hi Craig, thanks for the response, I just purchased a Weltmeister C Griff from Liberty Bellows. After speaking with Mike, I decided a regular C Griff would be easier to trade or sell if I ever needed to. I appreciate you getting back with me.

He's definitely right about resell potential. I thought a miracle was about to happen and I was going to sell my unique, excellent but alas nearly unsellable accordion ;-)

I’m in a unique situation where my teacher’s husband is a world class Finnish accordion player, so I have seen a couple of Finnish C accordions at their house. I listened with interest while he explained the advantages of the third row being the primary starting row.

He could have eventually found me a decent Finnish C accordion, but I was anxious to get an accordion of my own, so started calling around and speaking with those more knowledgeable than myself.

I hadn’t really given much thought to how difficult it might be to sell the Finnish C if I wanted or needed to at some point. I think Mike at Liberty Bellows gave me good advice, so because he took the time to talk with me about my options, I felt comfortable purchasing from him.

I do appreciate your response, and wish you luck in selling yours. If I had more time to search for a Finnish C, I might have seriously considered yours, but I want to get started with my CBA learning sooner rather than later. Hope you understand, and thanks again.

Of course. You were under no obligation to me and you made a good choice I think. There are so many different ways to play any of these cbas, unfortunately I wasn't able to master any of them. But when I retire, I'll probably still have that accordion, and I'll have time to try again.
