The virtuosity is not in the musical performance of the Finnish group "The Leningrad Cowboys" (I don't which, if any, of them are actually playing their instruments). but in the virtuosity of persuasion that it must have taken to get the Alexandrov Red Army Ensemble to go along with this (and not just once, they did multiple shows).

The virtuosity is not in the musical performance of the Finnish group "The Leningrad Cowboys" (I don't which, if any, of them are actually playing their instruments). but in the virtuosity of persuasion that it must have taken to get the Alexandrov Red Army Ensemble to go along with this (and not just once, they did multiple shows).
Watch the songs in the following videos that link in after… same show and very much many traditional pieces like Volga Boatmen and Kalinka, that explains in part how they were able to accomplish what they did.
