Hi

I am fitting new chrome to my accordion grill. It has came with these tiny rivets. Is there a special tool for fixing them tight so the chrome doesn't rattle. On some of the originals the rivet head looks to have been under a lot of pressure as it has sunken slightly into the chrome. These rivets are very small I have used a pen in the picture so you can gauge how small they are.

If you've not got many to do, you can peine them over with a suitable hammer - it's the age old way. If you'll do damage with the hammer, you can use a rivet punch on an anvil with a hammer .
If these are aluminium they'll be quite easy to 'set' them, if iron, much harder.

Hi soulsaver

Yes I have quite a few to do. Think i will purchase a rivet punch for a nice neat job and to prevent damaging the grill. I think they are aluminium.
Think I'll practice with a couple first.
thank you
