What type of activity are you looking for ? There isn't much activity in Florida with accordions.

Thank-you for getting back to me. I contacted the Florida accordion association last year and they never got back to me. I’m going to be in Hallandale for six months. The accordion I have down there needs a minor adjustment to one of the basses. The only dealer I could find was in Miami. Are you aware of any others?

He is a Scandalli dealer; I don't know if he does repairs and I have never had any dealings with him. I do my own repairs when it's something I can do, otherwise I send it out . If It's just a bass adjustment, you could always unhook the bass section and send it out; much easier than sending the entire accordion out. There is a guy on the forum, named Jim D. who has a good rep for repairs. Even tho he's in MA, shipping the bass section would be easy and it really makes no difference where you're shipping it to.
There is a guy in central FL that used to work for a dealer in Tampa and His name is Kurt Schrotenboer or something like that. He works on his own, out of his home; I would avoid him at all costs. Not a good guy.

ok thanks for the heads up.

True…not much accordion repair companies in South Florida. I remember my uncle was a self taught expert in repairs. He often sent over to my home rebuilt accordions. Played many of them on my first gigs at 12 years old.

But if you are a serious gigging musician, you could find many gigs in south Florida. Especially, with Country Clubs. If you have a desire to do French, Italian, German themes, you could be busy several times a week/month.
