Apropos of our discussion of French Canadian Diatonic:

The work of Philippe Bruneau, master of the Quebecois diatonic accordion, has just been made available in a remarkable archive which has a shiny new website. If you want the best of French Canadian accordion, this is pretty much the gold-standard. All the famous groups including Le Vent du Nord, La Bottine Souriante, La Volee dCastors, Les Cowboys Fringants, and Les Tireaux Droches owe debts to Bruneau. (Each of them are worth looking out for too.)

Check out photos, videos, recordings, composition transcripts and more (in French). Amazing resource about a genius player.
