Im looking around for a good gig bag with shoulder straps and this company caught my eye, anyone have experience with these, are they really superior to the offerings from Hohner/SofiMaria/Stagg/DLuca? All of those companies offer something around $80 USD I think, or less, and Fusellis are about $100 more, but they come recommended - the Button Box in Massachussetts sells them - they come in various sizes for 48/80-96/120 bass, etc. - and theyve been at it a while:

Founded in 1970, from the ashes of a former company named Gelosi, Manifatture Fuselli celebrates 45 years of activity in 2015.

Gino Fuselli, who produced guitars under the brand Eros, tranferred his knowledge to the production of accordion and guitar straps and accessories.

Riccardo, son of Gino, carries on a manufacture specialized in accessories for musical instruments, with 20 high skilled workers.

Manifatture Fuselli now exports his products in more than 20 countries, from Japan to USA, from Germany to Korea, and so on.

I have just spotted your reference to the Button Box - http://www.buttonbox.com/ .
This firm is only 20 miles from my location and for 3 years now I have been referring my button box work to them and they have been referring their PA work to me. This union is working well for us as we accomplish more when we specialize. I must assure you that all the products they carry are of excellent quality and the prices are reasonable.

I have two, one for the accordion, one for the melodeon. Thoroughly recommended. Got them from Pete at Acorninstruments.co.uk

They are very well made with thick padding and decent rucksack straps that go long enough for me to get into (I'm a big bloke with a 52 inch chest).

If you're in the London (UK) area, Emilio Allodi has got Fuselli gig bags. I have one that I bought from him, and it's good.

I'm in the States, I obtained a new Castagnari melodeon via the Button Box - great folks to work with. Thanks for the input, all.

When you buy almost any Italian accordion (Pigini, Bugari...) with a gig bag instead of (or in addition to) a hard case you get a (relabeled) Fuselli bag. There are different types, and not all are equally good. There are differences in how the carrying straps are attached to the bag, more or less prone to breaking off at the joint. There are occasionally also problems with the zippers after many years of intensive use. I can hardly blame for them considering how and how much we use our instrument(s).
I have also seen (but not found for sale) gig bags that allow you to carry the instrument in the playing orientation, which is better for cassotto instruments.

The need for a zipper replacement on a soft case will in most cases equal it's purchase price and in some cases exceed the purchase price of the case. This is the main reason for the unpopularity of soft cases in the US.
