Gary’s at the Concordia tomorrow.

Gary’s Richland Dutchmen (and Dutch women) will be at the Concordia Ballroom tomorrow evening. Unfortunately I won’t be there. His cousin played bass in my band. Anyway, if you are unfamiliar with “Dutchman” style accordion (Chemnitzer concertina) check this out…. If you are in La Crosse I recommend this show because there aren’t too many young people picking up this style anymore.

Oh, look at that, he starts with the Trumpet Echo Polka. Let’s face it, Meixner is a monster. I definitely should add this one for next summer. Maybe I could play it when the dreaded Beer Barrel is requested AGAIN!
