Hard Core. Practice

My piano teacher said 'don't practice until you get it right, practice until it can't go wrong...'
I say 'learn music you love, then practicing will always be a pleasure...'

I've heard that if you practice slow enough to NEVER make a mistake, you will never err in your "real" playing.

Jerry's got me committed to an hour a day of "grim determination" on scales, chords, Hanon, etc. With a metronome. How about "Take your hand off the accordion and then play an inversion without looking at the keyboard? What's the matter, the keys aren't going anywhere!" They don't call him Jerry "P"almer "H"ughes for nothing.....
