I'm returning to PAs after a long break - after a lot of humming and hawing I've bitten the bullet and brought a Roland FR3X and am looking to exploring it's intricacies
Welcome Bob. Hope biting the bullet doesn't break a tooth. Have fun exploring your new instrument. Look forward to hearing your story and sharing in your in your progress .
I originally started learning PA about 18 years ago and got to BCA Grade 4 - unfortunately my teacher retired and there were no others within any reasonable distance. As I had joined a Morris side I learnt to play melodeon and stupidly got rid of my two PAs. I played for a Morris side up until a couple of years ago and still have several melodeons.A few months ago my wife's cousin dug an old 80 bass out of his loft and gave it to me - the bass valves are in poor condition but it is playable so I tinkered about a bit and got. the bug. Being involved with IT I really fancied one of the virtual accordions - Initially I was going for the frx1b but then I remembered I initially learnt on a small accordion and changed quite quickly to a 120 bass so with that in mind I went for the 3x - I've only had it a few days and it's taking a lot of getting used to but I'm enjoying it immensely even tho I'm almost a complete beginner again - Any tips, hints etc regarding the 3x extremely welcome.
