I received an Hohner diatonic HA-114 accordion from my grandfather. Where can I find the serial number? It's a vintage accordion manufactured in Germany but sold in Canada.

Hi Dauna mine dont have serial numbers I don't think they have them ,early versions have wooden fingerboard, no Hohner logo, wick gasket, leather valves H reeds and the key you want is "D"

The HA-114 is a lovely instrument. What key is it in? The citizens of melodeon.net should be able to help give you a rough estimate of the age

HA-114Ds are rare and pretty desirable; you've got a very nice box there! The Hohner logo, bellows design and plastic keyboard dates it to the 1970s-80s, at least according to this thread: https://forum.melodeon.net/index.php?topic=27969.20
