How to search for members in your area?

I would like to know if it is possible to search for members in my area. I have looked at the members list and that shows locations but it's a very long list!

Search for the name of your city. Search for the name of the accordion shop nearest you. Then look through all the threads that pop up. If you live in a small town, search the name of the bigger city near by.

It worked for me for my city when I joined a couple weeks back.
