Hello!
I unfortunately am not an accordion player like you talented people, but I'm hoping you can help me identify some details about this accordion that would help me to sell it. This belonged to my husband's grandfather who has now passed away. It seems to be in good condition on the outside, and the notes are working (though I'm a poor judge of whether it sounds as it should).
Do you have any thoughts about what I might be able to sell it for? Or any other identifying factors about this accordion?

The identity of the maker of the "Regent" accordions appears to be somewhat obscured by the passing of time: some suggest "Noble, some "Gabbanelli", still others "Petosa".
Most agree they are Italian in origin and well made. Your example appears to be possibly from the early 1950s.
(The use of the "Traficante" accordion instruction method, which features among your relative's collection of accordion books, lends weight to this era 🙂)
See here:
I hope someone more knowledgeable than I comes along with more detailed information !🙂
As to price, at this age, it's unlikely to be a fortune, but I suggest you visit any accordion shops/repairers (Google) in your neighbourhood and see what they may be prepared to offer you, after they've had a good look inside and out.🙂
Remember, selling a vintage accordion may take some time, even for a shop.
Good luck!🙂
