I recently have stumbled across a friend who has inherited a Borsini Castelfidardo from his Grandfathers attic. Im having a difficult time trying to identify the year, serial (if any), and ball-park-value for this instrument in order to give him a fair price. He offered to sell it to me for $500, but I would like to make sure that it is worth that or more before I make a decision to collect this specific piece. I will post pictures on here of what he sent me. Unfortunately, he forgot to take a picture of the bass buttons, but I can post them in a follow-up reply. Thank you for any help you can give.

Borsini is a good make but this isnt a high end instrument. Looks typical of early 50s late 40s accordions, and is an entry level/student box. I would have said $500 was waaaay high if in good condition, which is unlikely in my experience from accordions in attics - itll prob need work...
Is it a compact?
Im UK & may have a differnet view. If Jim D doesnt comment PM him & ask him to.

And keep your eye on this:

This one is a very early box ,late 40's early 50's student model box as from your picture it has the old style waterfall keys. Should be a 2/4 reed - 18" keyboard .The accordion looks clean but in today's market in the US, if in good shape, would honestly just go for from $100 to $150 USD
