Joplin on Accordion???

Well, it's tricky with just a single bellows but ragtime is about syncopation, and putting such a big accent on every left-hand note hacks the right-hand syncopes into on-beat fragments. What I'd probably try would be to register the left hand louder and/or more responsive and then only supply the additional air that this registration requires without changing the pressure for the right hand.

Your fingers are doing excellent work already; that might free some attention to be invested into making the bellows work more subtle.

I don't think you can blame Zevy's left hand for not hearing much syncopation.
Cleopha is a march, and almost everything really IS on the beat. There are just 4 bars of "ragtime-rhythm" right hand in the whole piece, all in the final section.

I just love Zevy's playing! I've said this previously here. There's just something about any song he plays that reminds me of my youth and listening to all of the local accordionists over my early years. Somehow, when he plays accordion it sounds like what an accordion should sound like and I enjoy every song.

Ok @Thomas N - Thank you for your kind words. If you’re ever in my neighborhood, I’ll take you out for coffee!
