Just because, guys!πŸ˜€

Omg where to start with this one. Ok, quiz time again. Raise one hand if you've ever played this tune. Raise two if you've ever seen it played live. What've we got?

Just Because is a tune I play every month on my 8X at a senior center. Most all the folks know it and sing along. I grew up in Cleveland area and that was a million seller for Frank Yankovic. The attached file has the melody. I like this version because it has a 2nd part (I think they call it the "bridge"). Frank played that bridge on his Solovox. It was a nice combination with the accordion. With my 8X, I do the bridge with a nice Hammond drawbar setting and the Leslie rotors spinning. It is a nice sound.

Only if you expect to play in Cleveland, where it's Frankie Yankovic's biggest hit, and if you don't play it, well, I can't be held responsible....

What do we do if we've never played it or heard it?

Well, maybe consider yourself one of the lucky ones? 🀣🀣 Not sure. How about recording and sharing a polka you like?

Oh yeah, I've played this one. It's a classic! Pretty sure I've heard it played live at one Oktoberfest or another. So two hands up for me!

And you can't go wrong with both Myron Floren and JoAnne Castle tearing up accordions together, I don't care what the song is. (y)
