I've bought the first two Beuscher Succes Musette volumes, and I'm hoping there might be something similar for Tangos (and other latin-american accordion pieces).
Can anyone recommend Tango music books or suggest a comprehensive source of scores?

I've found sites where you can purchase individual pieces, but that gets expensive fast.

By coincidence, my cousin (who never played accordion more than a dozen times in his life), owned a jem that holds several songs Id love to do one day... he let me have this just a couple days ago. Its really made for piano, but anyone with a modicum of desire and a good amount of practice would be able to overcome that challenge. :)

Its a book published in the then Czechoslovakia in the year 1940 by Ludwig Doblinger, (Banard Herzmansky), K. G. Wien done specifically for the state achives of Prague. Its old, brittle, but quite interesting!

Im a bit of an online music scrounger. Id recommend starting with these sources:

Heres a whole bunch of tangos in PDF book format. I believe there are 655 of them: http://www.mandragoratango.com/sheetmusic/

I also find the http://partitions-accordeon.com/ site has a wealth of music--mainly French, but really lots of everything. You can try it out for free for 5 days or the annual membership is, I believe, around $20. Ive been a member for a couple years. Some of the music is pretty random, but there are some real treasures there.

Thank you for all your replies, that's given me more than enough to go on with.
