Hi everybody, I've just received my grandmother's piano accordion she has had for many years. All I can really tell you is that it's a paolo soprani and 60 buttons. Otherwise there's no other markings or serial/model numbers or names. I'm just wondering if anyone can give me an approximate age (my dad thinks it's between 50-60years old) and possibly value aswell altho I'll never sell it I'm just curious to know. I gave it a quick try and it sounds great considering it probably hasn't played for 20years or more.

Thanks everyone!

Hi eluciv, and welcome 🙂.
I'd say late 1940s to early 1950s?🤔.
Made by a good maker but a beginner's model.
Possibly two voices (two sets of treble reeds).
Looks as if it may be a youths/ladies' size (17" keyboard?)
Looks in good cosmetic condition.
As to value: we have a Kiwi member who I'm sure is well up with NZ prices: KiwiSqueezer.🙂
Perhaps he can comment?🤫

Thankyou for reply. My dad said there was 2 of them. A smaller one wich is this one and a big red one wich is the one I remember as a kid. I had never seen this one before until the other day and the big one is nowhere to be found Nana possibly sold it years ago as it was getting to heavy for her, The two big white switch buttons do change the sound of it. I'll measure it up when I get a chance but 17" is probably bang on. Very very good condition from what I can see just abit of wear on what would have been her main keys but itl probably clean up
