a lovely tune well played with feeling .
On a recent trip to Liverpool the guide told us that Paul McCartney attended Liverpool art college he used to wear a blackberry french hat and walk around strumming and singing this self written song to impress a female student her name was Michelle ............and to really try and impress her he sang some French words that absolutely made no sense at all but it sounded French .
many years later , I think at Abbey Road recording Studio in London . John Lennon suggested they recorded this song and their producer George Martin had someone write some proper French words that made sense .............................
and the rest is History !!!!
Ps ...Paul McCartney was a window dresser for a large department store ..in Liverpool the store is still there ................and never thought he would give up that job !!!
Pss Paul McCartney's mother was the local midwife /nurse they had the only Telephone in their street for her job. can you imagine that today!!
Paul's father played piano and Trumpet in a jazz band ......................
The family house has been purchased by the National Trust and cannot not be sold !!
