A person on youtube asked if I could put out a video of this song so I was familiar with it and was able to record it without too much practice. Frankie Yankovic at one time used the Casio M10 Keyboard for a unique sound. Reminds me of "The DOORS" where Ray Manzarek used keyboards to give the DOORS a unique sound although the music and lyrics were quite different.

Thanks, not quite the same though:)

Rubbish stuff - Wurlitzer made many which are much better than that.

The European built ones were on another plane altogether.

Some samples:

This last was one which I remember from my very distant youth.

Awesome things :D

I don't see how you can call the first one "rubbish". You are comparing it with much later versions with much development in between.
I'm sure you wouldn't call a Rolls Royce "Silver Ghost" rubbish in comparison with the latest creation just because it was less afficient in every way.
It's called progress :)

There were street organs of very much older origins which were superior of manufacture.
Rubbish is rubbish and shoddy workmanship is, well, just shoddy.
As I wrote, Wurlitzer made many better ones.

What matters is that none of these carousel "organs" even sound like the the smooth solovox sound of the Casio M10 used by Yankovic and other polka bands.

...but, George, I did say "...fondly reminded..." :)
There are, in amongst the other noises made by those old machines, pipes producing sounds very similar to those of the original Hammond solovox which preceded and possibly influenced the timbre that Casio chose for that M 10.
Not that I am any kind of expert on the matter.

Yeah, I guess then the same can be said for the DOORS

The "Noises" became part of the instrument. Laurens Hammond was very disappointed in the "Key Click" that was present in his organ--trying to get rid of it. Today, it is part of the "Hammond Sound". In fact, current Hammond non tonewheel clones, have a tab marked "Key Click" if you want to add it to the output tone.
