When browsing the various online stores I keep seeing a small B-System accordion in the $350 to $500 range. They come in various colors but appear to be the same instrument. Liberty Bellows call it a "Miraj B-System Chromatic Button Accordion".

Does anyone have experience with these? Would they be good for my first chromatic accordion? I could keep it and use it as a travel instrument after I upgrade to a larger instrument. (I travel in a small van.)

It's a three row instrument with just 22 buttons and 8 basses. I would be learning B-system rather than C-system. I'm deciding whether to get this or spend the extra money for a Hohner XS with C-system buttons.

It sounds like a chromatic version of the 8 bass chinese piano accordions I stock. I rebuild little Russian vintage ones that have 24 basses, a bit more useful.

If somebody tries one, please post your experiences. My gut feeling says poor construction (based on price) but I would love to hear firat-hand experiences.

There are just a few reviews of the piano version. I assume they were all beginners like me. They seemed to like the sound, but some had quality control issues. I think I’ll pass on this one.
