There is a new service at Thomann.de (not-affiliated) where they let you play live or upload audio samples off of your own instrument pickup into an actual pedal. The output then gets relayed back to you through their website. This means you can test any pedal before buying, to hear how it actually sounds with your instrument.
They have loads and loads of pedals connected. Furthermore you can tweak the pedal knobs through your browser.
That is pretty cool!
