Hello!
Is there any function or procedure on the FR-8x similar to the very useful [link] of the old FR models?
Thank you very much

What function?

Jerry, I think what he meant was like my old FR7 in order to play/program 2 sounds like orchestra and accordion you had to go through the extra process of hitting a link button. Not so on our models! We have buttons to select orchestra, organ, accordion on our boxes...
I think that was the question? I just do not have the fr7 anymore to verify?

Ah ok, so there used to actually be a button called link (I thought it was an inserted link to a pic gone bad... lol)... if so, no we dont have that. As Larry kindly mentions, we have separate buttons for the different functions.

If you wanted an accordion or organ, hit that button alone. Want organ AND accordion, hit both buttons at the same time.

Its if you want to link a song or loop to this register, select the Song/Loop Link check box.

It sounds confusing to me. I know you can loop on fr8x. Song link? Probably something I do not need to do? It may be in the manual?

Ive not used this option, so I cannot tell you personally how it works, but loops or songs are just MP3 files that are on the USB stick that is inserted on the accordion. Therfore, it is a way to synch a song or possibly backing tracks to a register setting... cool, huh?

Whether that is something that you would use or not depends on you. I am nowhere near being a power user, so its not somethng that grabs my attention this moment. :)
