Hi, Accordion Gurus!

Can anyone help me to identify, roughly, what year(s) this model of Hohner Verdi II was made? The database here shows quite a few years that the Verdi II was made, with some gaps. With no pictures to reference, I cant really place it. But I know there are a lot of knowledgeable accordion folks here, so Im hoping that someone might know something about when this was made. It is, obviously, made in Germany. It has a 3/4 configuration with a pretty nice sound.

Can anyone help me with this?

My guess would be some time in the late 50's or early 60's.
That is when this type of registers were used, on Verdi and Atlantic models, among others.
The later Verdi II N is still very popular, used a lot even by professionals because it is essentially indestructible and just always works.

Thanks, Paul.

Yes, I'd love to get my hands on one of those '70s VerdiIIs or maybe a Concerto II. I'm keeping my eyes open for those. Ha ha!

In the meantime, this'll do. I like the 37/96 configuration on this -- fits me well physically and weight-wise. The wax and leathers are in good condition and, to my ears, it has a very good tone.

There are quite a few of these VerdiIIs for sale on the internet, but, as is typical of accordion sales, not much info is given. The age doesn't really matter to me. I'm more concerned about the condition. But I like to know as much about my boxes as I can.

Thanks again. Cheers!
