Recording, Audio Mastering, Video Editing by @Sergei Teleshev
Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult things in life. It happens to all of us. We are left with emptiness. One might try to fill the void with memories. But memories just fade away. This song is for everyone who had a special person taken away from them.
I started working on this song in 2020. I made a recording of it on my Piano. I always struggle to add words to my music. The biggest challenge I face is in writing lyrics is to stick to an emotion and to make a genuine connection. A lot of times I give up midway because of this. This time I felt that I was able to put my true emotions into words and I really liked how it turned out.
Thanks to Bruce Wittrig for elevating this song to something really special. Collaborating with someone on an original is very tricky. Accommodating someone else's idea very often leads to conflicts and one might have to compromise on their own creative freedom. When Bruce showed me the violin tracks it blended so well with the song and made it so much soulful. I can't thank Bruce enough for weaving his magic in this song.
I've always been a big fan of Sergei Teleshev's accordion playing and the overall production quality of his music videos. I was showing one of my other original tracks to Sergei and he offered to record and produce the audio and video for this song. We scrapped the old accordion/vocal tracks and did a fresh recording. Sergei went above and beyond to capture multiple angles during the outdoor shoot.

I am very pleased with how this song turned out. I'm also grateful for the opportunity to work with some really talented artists. I can call this song done.
