Has anyone tried/heard any of the add-on sounds from Roland.
I'd be keen to try more diatonic instrument type sounds (as FR18) on my FR1X

To answer, in part, my own question.

Before the Dallape factory closed Roland sampled their instruments - historic and contemporary I believe.
I emailed "Sud-Claviers" in France who say these sounds are available as an add-on but only on FR8X and FR3X.
I haven't found anything about diatonics (ie melodeon) sounds. I find this a bit surprising because instrument makers from Hohner to the boutique builders are doing cba with diatonic "feel"
Perhaps it'll come with time.

I noticed that their web page only offers FR1X free support .....are they going to discontinue the FRX1 imminently ? :hb

On the subject of support, I bought a FR1X instructional dvd from Sud-claviers.
It arrived today and would be really (well a bit) useful if I wasn't able to read the manual.
Not recommended.
I was surprised because they did a youtube review of the box which was not bad at all.
