Does anybody else name their instruments? I have Ramona (my guitar), Luna (my bass guitar) and i haven't come up with a name for my accordion yet. Was just curious anyway
Yes,but only Hurdy Gurdies for some reason. We have had 'Rosie' (still have), 'Esme', 'Florrie' (still have), 'Gigi' (guess the unison chanter tuning !) and 'Roxie' and all had some association mainly too lengthy to explain here.
Oddly enough the various boxes and Fiddles escaped such nonsense over the years. Strange.
A melodeon-playing friend of mine gives all her (many) boxes girls' names, e.g. Peggy, Lily etc. Mine just go under nicknames derived from their make or model, i.e. the Pigini is The Pidge, and the Hohner Amati contracts lazily to Maati. Similar with my car, the Blingo (Citroen Berlingo).
