Roland FR8X Battery

Has anyone bought or used one of these batteries from Thomann . I noticed they are not oem Roland batteries so was wondering if they are worth the lower price in comparison to the Roland battery

I’m lucky in that regard I can ship to the USA as I live in a border town and the USA is a 10 minute drive for me Here in Canada we have Long & McQuade Music store and their price for a new Roland FR8X battery is $600 so it would be about a $200 savings for me even with our terrible exchange rate on the Canadian Dollar

the normal Roland direct or dealer price has always been @350 or so

Thanks for that info the synergy pac looks interesting I also found this one on Amazon Canada for an excellent price in Canadian dollars

it is nice to see 3rd party offerings are finally out there

at @ 200 actually this is a christmas gift for all the
big Roland box owners here in the forum.. i bet
they sell out from a small rush of orders from our bunch !

Mine was $344 US shipped to my house from Petosa in August 2023. It was their last one when I ordered it. Official Roland battery.

My first one lasted almost 8 years before it started becoming a problem. I expect similar results from this one.

Believe it or not, you can order the Roland batteries at any Long & McQuaid in Canada. Takes about a week to come in. With Quebec taxes it came out to about $400Cdn for me... ridiculous but thats the price of OEM.

Check warranty status when you purchase outside of your country. It may not be covered in your own country?

I always had 2 sets of batteries. Rotated them.
