Been a while since I posted something here, I hope to change that soon and contribute a little more.
Today I was going through some files doing a small cleanup and found my original files for “Sabor a Mi” a lovely romantic latin piece.

“Sabor a Mi” was also my first attempt at a multi-cam green screen, and setting that up again was a blast to complete. I remember how much of a headache it was to make, we're talking hours and hours of testing and playing. This was not the case this time. I completely changed my normal flow and rendered a huge 225gb base file that was going to be my working template. After that creating the file 4k file with beginning and end was very fast and simple and the final render was under 15 minutes… impressive! I also improved the quality of the sound, nailing my post processing such that it was at maximum permitted volume without letting YouTube's compression algorithm touch it, the key being the 0.0db correction, and with the knowledge I have now, will be able to easily reproduce this in all my videos moving forward.

I worked on trying to make the video a little more visually animated and even re-introduced a little shock in the form of the video going completely black and slowly fading in to match the flow of the song. I think the most interesting part of the process was trying to think like a story teller.

Here is the result of those couple hours of work:

So, did I succeed or fail the tasks of visual story telling, video quality and sound quality, and where do you feel I could have changed or improved anything?

EDIT: OK, won't hide it, but I did introduce a small error on purpose. :D

Thanks!

Jerry - very well. As I remember - you have beautiful acoustics accordions. Roland isn’t so pleasant for listeners :)
I have a visceral dislike for electronic sounds in music, so I quite agree with your sentiments.
Thanks for posting! Bit of confusion, Piotr doesn't like the sound of a digital and Ffingers doesn't like the sound of electronic sounds in music.

For me to make this song in a way they BOTH like means I need to use a digital accordion with all sounds turned off and no backing tracks. I think that is called complete silence... lol

I know where you both are coming from, but the exercise was about a remake of a video from a technical standpoint. That said, I'll both strive to continue along my own path which will eventually also include the things that you both may like better in the near future.

Thanks for your inputs, it is appreciated! :)

OK to kind of close off this thread, the "error" was pretty easy, I placed the output of the right hand on the "wrong side" so that if you were there in real life, the right hand comes out on your left ear, not the right... lol

Anyways, it was fun to do, and I plan to make more videos in such a style... without sound for some, and acoustic and digital for me... lol

Thanks for playing along!

What an absolutely beautiful song! I have not heard that before and will be instantly adding it to my repertoire.

Superb Jerry....really superb production ...and as ever impeccable playing...thanks for sharing your efforts ..
I must concur with the rebels though... I'd so much prefer you to be playing an acoustic instrument, you are a lucky man in that you a have a mean collection of high tone quality accordions and I imagine you'd be able to express more emotion should you use one of them ....guess it's a hard choice picking the box for the job
Anyways I've appreciated what you've done...keep em coming...
