hi all,
In the ever interesting topic of makes and models, does anyone have experience with this one, Scandalli Air II.
96 bass in a 72 bass house, with cassotto..
That is a great accordion if you can live with 34 keys. The two you show both have 34 keys but they are F to D and G to E. It's always a compromise... you want that low F badly enough to give up the high E or you want the high E enough to give up the low F...
The problem is that a lot of music written or arranged for accordion expects people to have 41 keys (low F to high A) or more.
yes, so true... for a small person like me it's a difficult choice.. It's not only the amount of keys (I think I could live with either), but also that I can't rest the instrument on my leg when sitting, using the weight of the bass side to move it in and out, like a dynamic balance... so even if it's lighter, it might in the end be heavier to play than my 96 bass!
I actually tried it today, and it is a lovely instrument, indeed. Sweet tone and still a lot of punch to the sound..
