Screen problems on Roland FR-5 FR-7 & FR-7x

For many years now Ive replaced defective screens on Roland models FR-5 FR-7 &FR-7x . These older screens develop unwanted lines making them unreadable.
The replacement was quite simple - $100.00 for the screen + labor.
Well that was yesterday as now the screens are now out of stock and Roland has no idea when they will be available (if ever).
Well there is now hope, as a new replacement (with modification) is now available.
I have worked with years now with Mike Dubrovsky (a member here) and electronic genius.
Mike has been an invaluable aid in my after market parts such as a power in and midi out kit to replace that FBC-7 pedal. And different power supplies and batteries.
Mike now does a modification to replace the original screen that can be installed yourself and is a standard commercial product.
Once the screen mother board is modified a replacement screen is only $40.00 and is brighter than the original !!
Mike has been very successful and busy with screen modifications and shipped his last one to Australia.
