I have a 120 bass Pigliacampo Nunama ( 2 register ) but 8 to 10 of the reeds need replacing. Any offers to buy this accordion , or suggest where it could be repaired. ( I currently play another model, but would use this model if it can be economically restored. ) I am based in the South Croydon area. thanks. Ian

Thanks for the reply. I opened it up and all seems to be in place and it is clean as a whistle. There just seems to be some ' rattle' on a few of the bass buttons/notes. rgds Ian

Rattle does not mean the reeds need to be replaced. There can be several causes: the read plate may not be snug against the reed block because of worn brittle wax. Rewaxing the reed plate then helps. Another possibility is slight misalignment of the reed so it hits one side of the reedplate. And a final possibility is that the reed is loose on the reed plate, so it needs to be hammered in again.
In any case it is unlikely that the reeds really need to be replaced.
