I am trying to source a music score for the German waltz Konfetti.

It was apparently written by a German composer, Walter Porschmann, who as far as I can tell was more famous for his bandoneon playing and compositions.

Ive heard two Belgian players, Hector Delfosse and Oscar Denys play it, as well as a version by the Dutch player, Johnny Meijer, but cannot find sheet music anywhere.

Walter Porschmann died in 1959, so I doubt there will be any hard copy scores available.

If anybody has any knowledge as to where I could obtain a copy of this music Id be very grateful to them.

I know its not the most challenging of pieces, but I just cannot work it all out by ear at normal tempo. I might try and get it by slowing You Tube down if I cannot get the sheet music.

Here is a link to the tune concerned, played by the late Hector Delfosse, probably my favourite Belgian accordionist. Belgian players tend to play a selection of German tunes in their repertoires, probably consistent with the fact that there is a German speaking minority in the east of the country.

Thanks Stephen, that's the very one!

I'll probably be able to get the whole tune down now from the front page, and using You Tube slowdown for the following parts. I had the first few bars worked out but it all got a bit muddled later. I don't know enough music "speak" to describe the parts concerned. If I can't work it out I'll send off for the score, as the price is pretty good. Postage might not be though, although if your order is more than 50 Euros it looks like you get it free. I noticed a German language CBA tutor on their list, so I'll see what Santa brings me.

That Stretta site is a real find. I pride myself in being able to find difficult stuff on Google, but this one defeated me entirely. I'd never really heard of Walter Pörschmann until I heard this track. The French CD I have of Oscar Denys playing it has his name spelt ""Porshmann", which made searches difficult.

Thanks again. You've made an old guy very happy!
