Perhaps it's been run through a time or two - I didn't see a recent thread.. Anyone ship/receive accordions during this heat event? Or perhaps another time..?

My instrument came within 300 miles/4.8 km of me late Thursday night. And there it sits until Tuesday - as Monday is a federal holiday in the states. Normally, ya sure. But the heat is expected to be 100* F/37* C all weekend long.

Does anyone know where/how freight (my accordion 😕 ) is dealt with when it stalls for days with USPS in the states? (Please tell me it doesn't sit in a hot truck all weekend.. 🥺 )

We have these temperatures quite often.
So far, my accordions, and those of my friends, have survived unscathed.
I imagine your's should too!
We can but hope!😐

If the accordion is sitting in a box or crate with the recommended very thick (insulating) padding it should take quite a long time to heat up (or cool down) to beyond safe storage temperatures.
If it doesn't have enough padding to prevent damage from heat it is is much more likely to be damaged by rough handling.
It's unlikely that they leave goods sitting in a truck for days, because of the risk of theft.

Thank you for the encouraging words. :)

Would you happen to have any further updates? this exact thing has just happened to my dad. Our shipment has been stalled and the hot temperatures are making us worry whether or not the wax will melt.
