Something for the Weekend?

I enjoyed that. What amazes me is all the bands have a different "characteristic sound". This band has that '20's sound. Then there was Guy Lombardo with his sound tagged as "The Sweetest Music This Side Of Heaven". Then Glenn Miller -- Tom Dorsey, etc. They are all different. What fascinates me -- they all have the same basic instruments that don't have a change of tone -- Clarinet, Sax, Trombone, Violin, flute, etc. I guess it's how certain instruments are featured. One thing I noticed in this concert was a lot of use of the banjo. This has disappeared in later orchestra concerts.
